Sam is a friendly, optimistic, and humorous store manager at Skechers Corio, who thrives on teamwork and a customer-first mindset. With nearly three years of experience, Sam has grown from a casual employee to a leader, driven by a passion for helping people find the perfect pair of shoes.

Can you tell us a little more about your journey and how you became store manager?

I’ve been with here at Skechers for nearly three years, starting as a casual and working my way up to store manager. What I love most about working here at the centre is the tight-knit community.  The centre isn't overly large, which adds to its charm.

Everyone has a role to play in our community, and together we make it a fantastic place to shop and work.

What’s is the funniest or most unusual request this customer has had from a shopper?

We've had someone come in and request size 18 shoes, which we unfortunately didn't stock.

We also get the occasional heelies (shoes with wheels on the heels) request or light up shoes for adult shoes.

What do you love to do when you're not at work?

When I'm not here at the store, I'm all about sport.  I'm a mad Collingwood, and Tottenham Hotspur Supporter. FLAGPIES 2025!

What products or services do Skechers offer that is unique to the market and are there any products you're loving right now?

Skechers has one of the largest ranges of Slip-In shoes and they’re truly a game-changer. No bending or hands, simply step in and go! Plus, they’re exclusive to Skechers, so you won’t find them anywhere else.

The Skechers Slip-In Cozy Fits have got to be my favourite thing at the moment. They’re like puffer jackets for your feet, seriously comfy and perfect for everyday wear!

What do you love most about your job?

There isn’t just one best part, everything works together to make my job fun, rewarding, and exciting. But if I had to pick two, they’d be:  The customers, seeing their smiles when they leave with fresh new kicks is unbeatable and my team.  When you work with an incredible group of people makes every day enjoyable!
