Jade Fejo is a proud Larrakia-Noongar woman currently living and working on Wonnarua Country, where she serves as a medical receptionist at the Aboriginal Medical Centre.

Her story is inspired by treasured childhood memories of flying from Perth to Darwin during school holidays to stay with her nanna. Those visits became formative experiences—filled with painting, gardening, and the gentle sharing of cultural knowledge passed down by a much-loved matriarch.

For Jade and her family, her nanna’s home was more than a place—it was a living classroom where heritage, creativity, and connection bloomed.
